Job Description
The role is a Scotland wide role generally split two-thirds on Glasgow/Aberdeen work and one third on Edinburgh work and no people management responsibility or budgetary responsibility is required.
You will prepare and submit planning applications/permitted development submissions for a range of proposals to support development and commercial income strategies, Contribute in the review of national, strategic and local development framework/plans and assist in the preparation of response, Contribute in the review of new and revised Planning legislation and assist in the preparation of response, Contribute in the review of new and revised national planning policy and guidance and assist in the preparation of response and assist in the preparation of Planning or Advertisement Appeals.
On the Master Planning side you will provide support to the preparation of the finalised Master Plans in accordance with requirements and Department for Transport/Scottish Executive guidance.
On the Development Strategy side you will contribute to the preparation of development strategies in conjunction with Development Teams/Managers and represent the Planning Team at specific development Project Boards providing expert advice on land use planning policies, standards and requirements.
Other duties will require you to participate in projects or any other duties as reasonably required by the Company.
A degree in Planning or similar qualification is essential and a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) is preferred.
A Minimum of 3-5 years post-graduate work experience in planning field is essential and Commercial acumen and Development Control experience is preferred.
