Job Description

There is an opportunity to have a degree of autonomy, whilst having an Engineer trained Contracts Manager to support you.

The work is in the medium level of the market, involving drainage to 4.5 m depth on or adjoining a highway. You will be experienced in the use of a Pipelaser and EDM, able to read and correctly interpret drawings, comfortable in dealing with officials from the statutory authorities, and able to clearly prepare work records and programmes. Our client has taken on a number of similar contracts running over 18 to 24 week periods and is looking to build up a team for this sector of the works.

You will have a minimum of 2 years site experience since graduating, and have a recognised construction related qualification, preferably with a CSCS card, NRSWA qualified, and optionally a First Aid certificate.

Experience with either a main contractor or a sub-contractor will be equally relevant, so long as you have a good understanding of the civils elements of construction. A good working knowledge of CAD is an advantage, but not imperative. A more senior candidate may suit so long as you possess the minimum skills listed.

The work will generally be based on a 5 day working week, though weekend work may be required in certain situations. The option is open for a freelance or permanent candidate.
