£200 - £350 per day

Our client is a leading energy business with a global presence. Their European headquarters are based in Edinburgh. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a forward thinking Financial Modeller to join their business. This will be an initial three month contract but it may be extended.

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

·Take responsibility for a financial model. Overview of contracts, operational matters, cost base. Perform routine updates price curve, trades, actuals etc. Perform monthly updates of the reporting datapack;
·Provide month end reforecasts;
·Support UK Management Report production;
·Support new model build. Regular sense checking of model build (to build knowledge of model), support on feedersheets where appropriate, e.g. build actuals feedersheet;
·Testing and implementation of new model;
·UK CO2 tracking and mitigation of risk. Produce month end summary information and to take the lead on the mitigation of the CO2 risk areas;
·Produce process notes for each model specifically looking at the mechanical update of each model for each assumption update and what you have to do re cash etc for each reforecast.
