A senior strategic panner is needed to join one of the Bedfordshire councils. The post holder will provide professional expertise within the Local Plans Team to support the statutory Planning function, in particular contributing to meeting the Strategic Planning Group’s workload to aUnder guidance develop detailed local plan policy guidance required in connection with the preparation of an up to date statutory local plan for the Borough. Prepare development briefs as requested and all other forms of development planning or implementation documents as required. Provide advice on the application and implementation of local plan policy in the context of the development control function. Provide an input into structure and regional plan formulation, and into the preparation of the Local Transport Plan. The fulfilment of these tasks will assist the Council in discharging its statutory duties as local planning authority.chieve its aims, objectives, statutory obligations and targets
