My client is a top 5 International consultant and they are recruiting within their construction and property division.
They have a role available within their commercial team working with high profile clients in Central London.
The commercial projects team works with private clients across the South East they work on multi million pound projects. Extensions, refurbishments, fit out programmes and new build projects.
The job description below gives you the scope of the role -
Your duties will include;
Assist in securing new and repeat business in line with the sub-divisional budget
Comply with QES system and Group/Unit directives
Preparation of estimates and cost plans in line with the brief
Provision of financial advice including the impact of inflation
Advise on contract procurement
Assist in the development of programmes for the delivery of our services
Preparation of standard documentation – reports, valuations, letters, financial statements etc
Preparation of tender documents as required by procurement choice (including Bills of Quantities)
The analysis of tenders and preparing tender reports at all stages of procurement
Prepare valuations and financial statements; re-measure as necessary and adjust variations
Assist in the settlement of construction disputes and prepare and agree final accounts
Produce financial fee report for post contract review
Attendance at design team and progress meetings as necessary
Contract administration (EA role) as necessary
Other duties as may reasonably be required
BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar level degree or vocational qualification
MRICS/MCIOB/other further post graduate educational qualification is desired but not essential.
Suitable prior experience of Quantity Surveying within the Water Sector
Excellent report writing skills
Ability to prioritise and able to work under pressure
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach to work
Technical awareness and able to work with some support to deliver all post contract service delivery and to solve problems
Proactive and self motivated
Effective time management – efficient and adding value to projects
Customer focused – ability to engage in building sound relationships with the customer project team.
