Job Description

Our client a major civil engineering / utilities contractor requires a number of Planners to join their team.
The successful candidate will form part of the Alliance Planning department, providing programme support to the Alliance Project Managers for the delivery of a portfolio of substation projects across England and Wales. Primarily the role will be to monitor and review construction/Installation programmes already at site, assisting site team with any rescheduling of works to enable completion dates for National Grid to be maintained.

Main duties:
Tender Stage:
Produce tender programmes compliant with tender sum, design and methodology
Produce the tender deliverables as required (agreed at initial tender meetings with the Planning Manager and Bid Manager)
Detailed Design and Delivery Stage:
Produce, manage and update the construction programme and its communication to internal and external customers and major stakeholders.
Manage and incorporate change events into the construction programme and jointly with the commercial team, secure full entitlement under the contract.
The roles will be based from their offices in Staffordshire.

Qualifications
• Degree or HNC/HND qualified in a relevant technical discipline
• Relevant CSCS card
• Relevant 5 day safety qualification (e.g. IOSH / SMSTS / NEBOSH)

The salary is £45k - £50k plus car or car allowance and bonus.
