Job Description

My client is a driving force within the retail sector providing design and project management services to high-profile clients in the UK and abroad. Their workload includes the rollout of high-street retail refurbishments across the UK, conceptual design and delivery of new stores as well as space planning for large department stores locally and internationally. Their staff consists of approximately 60 outgoing, vibrant professionals including designers, technicians and project managers.

An Architectural Technician is required for a temp to perm position to commence in the New Year. It essential for candidates to have an understanding of retail and architectural planning and architectural details, be proficient using AutoCAD 2000, have good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines. .

Duties will include the following:
§ Retail and architectural planning
§ Managing planning and other required applications
§ Production of Drawing Information and cross referencing
§ Co-ordination of consultant drawings and information.
§ Maintaining Cad files and structure.
§ Checking of drawings in terms of accuracy.

Prior experience working on retail projects is preferred but applicants with no retail experience who meet the other criteria specified are encourage to apply. You will be expected to show examples of planning drawings and details produced using AutoCAD at interview stage.
