Job Description

This is a 2 month contract with the possibility of an extension beyond this. Signalling experience preferred, alternatively electrification or telecoms would be ok. Previous Network Rail / GRIP experience would be a bonus but not essential. The Project Manager will be responsible for assigned Project(s) and Contractor(s) as allocated by the Manager of Projects and be responsible for managing, coordinating and administering the project from detailed design including planning, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning completion, testing completion, initial operations, and contract close-out. Also supports communications and presentations to Network Rail. Supervises the development of budgets and schedules, manages performance, reports progress, and initiates action to assure programme/project objectives and schedules are met and work is performed within budget and according to specifications. Resolves problems and coordinates the final turnover of the project to the Network Rail. Provides leadership for the development and maintenance of a high performance project team. Has overall responsibility for project execution, ensuring that program/project is delivered with contract requirements, standards of quality and safety and to Network Rail performance expectations.
