Job Description
The purpose of this role is to provide corrective and preventative maintenance cover on all field based signalling equipment used by London Underground including first line telecommunications, lighting and LV Cable call work.
Key Accountabilities:
Undertake and oversee to laid down specification and standards in accordance with trading or contractual agreements, corrective and preventative maintenance, fault rectification, modification and recommissioning on all jobs for which the job holder is licensed.
You will have a direct bearing on the safety and running of the railway.
The job holder will be responsible for all staff under his/her control and others who may be called in to assist.
Required Skills and Experience:
Holders of current IRSE licences, preferably 1.3.160 or 1.4.110 and 1.4.160.
Satisfactory completion of examinations on prescribed signalling training and safety courses and lighting, power distribution and supplies, LV traction and Lifts and Escalators supplies and distribution.
At least two years service as a technician, within railway signalling or allied electrical or electronic discipline.
Work is carried out in the full spectrum of duty times and includes unsocial hours during the week and rostered weekend working and in outdoor conditions, at heights and confined spaces.

Skill Set: Signalling Engineering, Signal and Control – Commissioning, Electrical Engineering - Field Engineering - Power Systems, Electrical Power System Analysis, Electrical Codes and Standards, Electrical Construction Methods/Materials.
