Social Worker. Children and Families. West Yorkshire

Reliance Care are currently recruiting for a leading local authority in the Huddersfield area. Our client is looking for a Qualified Social Worker, (DipSW or CQSW essential), to work as part of their Children and Families Duty and Initial Assessment team.

12 months post-qualification child protection experience is preferable, but not essential and prior experience of duty work is preferred. The role will be based within a team, with the support of permanent members of staff.
The main duties will include:
• Undertaking initial assessments within the children and families division.
• Acting as duty Social Worker on a rota basis
• Making appropriate referrals
• Preparing reports
• Managing a caseload
The position is initially for a 3 month period with a possibility of being extended after this time.
