Social Worker. Children and Families. North Yorkshire

Reliance Care are currently recruiting for a leading local authority in the North Yorkshire area (vacancies within different sites). Our client is looking for a Qualified Social Worker, (DipSW or CQSW essential), to work as part of their Children and Families Duty and Initial Assessment team.

12 months post-qualification child protection experience is preferable, but not essential, and prior experience of duty work is preferred. The role will be based within an established team, with the support of permenant members of staff. Due to the nature of the work and location- a car driver is essential
The main duties will include:
• Undertaking initial assessments within the children and families division.
• Acting as duty Social Worker on a rota basis
• Making appropriate referrals
• Preparing reports
• Managing a caseload
The position is initially for a 3 month period with a possibility of being extended after this time.
