Youth Offending Team: Officer, West Yorkshire

Reliance Care are currently recruiting for a leading local authority in the West Yorkshire area. Our client is looking for a Qualified Social Worker, (DipSW,CQSW essential with GSCC registration), or BA (Hons) Youth and Community graduate to work as a YOT Officer.

Experience of working with young people is essential, and prior experience of working within a Youth Offending Team or similar is preferred.
This is to work within an established team – with support available
The main duties will include:
• Managing a caseload of young people
• Assisting in the supervision of YOT Support Officers
• Preparing pre-sentence reports and other court reports to national standards
• Making clear assessments in relation to risk in order to allocate appropriate and targeted resources to the reduction and prevention of youth offending

The position is initially for a 3 month period with the potential of an extension after this time. This is a great chance to work in a popular, busy, hands on team – with the flexiability of a temporary position.
