Job Description
My client is an international award winning multi-disciplinary consultancy, a consultancy whos fee income has consistently increased in the last 5 years and totalled £52million last year. As a consultancy they have always followed a plan of organic growth currently with 6 UK Offices, along with 12 international offices and over 1000 staff worldwide.
This role is effectively working under the current head of the Rivers & Coastal team that currently consists of 7 engineers in a multi-disciplinary office of 230 staff. The role itself is undertaking a key design role in this team working on both minor & major developments with a bias towards river structures.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in design elements such as river engineering, flood risk assessment, culvert design and river wall design, it is important to note this is a hands on role as design team leader.
The workload is varied, with the majority of work on prestigious, high profile developments such as Al Khiran Pearl City, a spectacular waterside development just south of Kuwait City. Forecast to take 25 years to complete and eventually house a population of around 100,000. At present most of their work is geared towards Carlyon Bay near St. Austell in Cornwall, a luxury beachside resort in Cornwall working in conjunction with a major private developer.
The salary is depending on experience however this is a key appointment for my client and therefore will be prepared to offer a highly competitive package for the ideal candidate.
