This is a new project that will offer you the chance to start a long run of freelance work starting with the initial site clearance and moving on to the groundworks and drainage, services and road formation.

We need a good Engineer who can set out accurately following the information available from the drawings and flagging up at an early stage information that is missing, ensuring that the fixers and chippies are fully informed of the setting out method and the relevance of the information you give. This is a long term freelance position for a competent Engineer who wants a few months work on 5.5 day weeks.

You will need to be able to read setting out and rebar drawings, keep a daily diary, take off and call off materials from the drawings and schedules. It goes without saying that you will be fully conversant with modern survey equipment and construction techniques. This is a large site so a stout pair of safety boots will be needed.

Ideally CSCS certified, you will have a formal construction qualification, have clear communication skills and a minimum of 3 years UK experience. Only candidates who are legally permitted to live and work in the UK will be considered.
