Job Description

Due to an increased workload, our multi-disciplinary client is seeking both a Hydrogeologist and a Senior Hydrogeologist within the Groundwater Team based in the Midlands.

Applicants for these roles will have a strong hydrogeological technical background, ideally possess a post-graduate qualification and at least 2 years experience working for a consultant or as a Regulator. (Senior applicants should have a minimum of 4 years experience).
Applicants should ideally have good experience or have a keen interest in the following areas of work:

• Undertaking groundwater risk assessments for contaminated land and groundwater projects, including using R&D Paper 20 spreadsheets, ConSim, Modflow
  
• Undertaking groundwater risk assessments for landfill sites for PPC permitting using LandSim
  
• Numerical modelling for complex groundwater resource projects
  
• Advising on the requirements and design of soil and groundwater remediation projects
  
• Input to the groundwater aspects of major infrastructure developments for EIA

In addition, senior applicants should have experience of:

• Managing junior staff
  
• Business development and client care
  
• Successful track record of negotiations with Regulators
