Electrical / Senior Electrical Engineer for a 9 month minimum contract with building design experience within an engineering consultancy environment, to work on 2 flagship international projects.
This post requires candidates committed to delivering innovative design solutions to our clients within a commercially sound framework, at all times. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following experience and abilities:

• Degree in Engineering plus a minimum of 4/5 years relevant post graduate professional experience.
• Chartered Member of a relevant Institution or working towards Chartership
• Good IT skills
• Good communication skills, dealing with other employees and external clients
• Confident, proactive character, ability to take the lead in challenging situations
• Be a committed and talented electrical designer with experience working in an engineering consultancy environment, creating exciting and appropriate design solutions
• Capable of managing and delivering multiple projects through a team of engineers, supporting them through to project completion
• Ability to co-ordinate with the other discipline engineers within the practice to produce multidisciplinary design solutions for clients.
Details
The key areas of responsibility for these roles are:
• Operating and competently working on an independent basis
• Communicating directly with clients, developing and maintaining key client relationships, maximizing opportunities for repeat business.
• Preparing and taking responsibility for concept and preliminary engineering solutions for detail design
• Preparing Technical Specifications
• Planning and monitoring job resourcing/expenditure and adjust as necessary.
• Managing workload of Project Discipline Engineers and Technicians.
• Checking/verifying other team members work
• Monitoring financial performance of jobs
• Ensuring senior staff are kept informed of client matters
• Ensuring all relevant staff are informed of client matters
• Continually ensuring that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the client’s best interests that policy is in keeping with current legislation, British Standards and Codes of Practice etc.
