Job Description

Piling, excavation, groundworks, drainage, sub structure RC basement and RC frame for commercial occupation at ground level and residential occupancy on the upper levels.

16 – 20 weeks on the initial groundworks phase, with the option to stay on for the RC frame.

We need a good Engineer who can set out accurately following the information available from the drawings, ensuring that the groundworkers, fixers and chippies are fully informed of the setting out method used. This is a long term freelance position for a competent Engineer who wants a few months work on 5.5 day weeks.

You will need to be able to read setting out and rebar drawings, keep a daily diary, assist with taking off and calling off materials from the drawings and schedules. It goes without saying that you will be fully conversant with modern survey equipment and construction techniques.

Ideally CSCS certified, you will have a formal construction qualification, have clear communication skills and a minimum of 3 years UK experience. Only applicants who are legally permitted to live and work in the UK will be considered for this position.
