Job Description

A Structural Design Engineer is sought for a position in the SE of the UK, working on a range of projects including:

  • A new build 30 storey reinforced concrete residential tower in a large multi-purpose building complex in central London
  • A new build eight storey reinforced concrete apartment building in central London
  • A new build six storey reinforced concrete framed demonstration homes apartment building in northern London
  • Three high profile retail/office/residential refurbishment projects principally involving structural steel framing and masonry infill walls on Tottenham Court road in central London
  • A three storey structural steel/masonry refurbishment for a homeless shelter in South London

Responsibilities on these projects included:

  • Structural design of all building elements from foundations to roofs,
  • Working with clients, architects, contractors and sub-contractors, building control officers and other engineers at meetings and on site,
  • Site supervision of investigation, demolition and construction works,
  • Writing specifications,
  • Developing computer modelling and analysis techniques

Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience working within a consultancy environment; in addition to holding a degree or higher in Structural/Civil Engineering. Candidates keen to progress their careers are always welcome!
