Working on a new commercial and industrial development our client is currently working on ground preparation, earthworks, drainage and general infrastructure initially and needs a Project Manager / Engineer, to replace the incumbent who is emigrating, to work on the permanent works that are due to commence soon. The work will involve some of the above operations but will focus on pilecaps, groundbeams, stanchion bases, HD bolts and floor slabs. Eventually progressing on to external soft and hard landscaping works.

We need a Project Manager / Engineer who is conversant with modern survey methods, ideally familiar with GPS, to also ensure that the men on site are aware of their relevance. You must be able to keep work closely with the main contractor, in a non adversarial manner, developing and keeping to programmes, maintaining a commercial overview whilst keeping site diaries, recording daily activities and occurrences, raising and resolving RFI’s and technical problems as relevant, working with the team of Engineers, to ensure safe working practices are adhered to and generally aiming for a successful project.

This is potentially a very long run of freelance work as the site opens up, or could be an option to join the company on a permanent basis. All applicants must have a current CSCS card and be legally entitled to live and work in the UK. Car driver advantageous as the site is a good walk from the nearest station. Qualified to Degree or Tertiary level in Engineering or a related discipline you will have a minimum of 5 years site experience of which at least 2 must be in the UK.
