The Location
The county of Essex is facing radical alteration as the result of the government’s desire to see massive new house building. Essex has an economy that is evolving at a rapid pace and experiences constant background noise of institutional change. To thrive in these changing conditions their policy making function is essential. They need to develop their core policy advice team and are looking for Strategy and Policy Planners.

The Role
Your responsibilities will involve review of development plans in relation to environment and Green Belt issues. You will be implementing the new planning system and ensuring co-ordination with the Community Strategy. You will be participating in the preparation of Local Development Framework and delivery of the council’s environmental and policy agenda.

You should have 2-3 years’ experience of development plan and policy work for a local authority or private sector

You must possess a qualification in town and country planning

In return you could earn a superb UK salary equivalent to Australian $45 per hour!

You must have a working holiday visa or an ancestral visa giving you rights to work in the UK.
