Site Engineers x 2 RC & Groundworks. These are schemes that will run for at least 4 months and freelance engineers will be used for the whole period to supplement the clients own Engineers.

Kings Cross and St John’s Wood are the 2 locations. At Kings Cross there is a large RC basement with all the associated waterproofing and structural work whilst at St John’s Wood it is traditional groundworks with pilecaps, groundbeams and underpinning. Knowledge of traditional groundworks starting with excavation, moving on through piling, drainage, sub-structure and super-structure RC or Steel frames for the upper stories and for the atrium display areas would be required. The schemes are both commercial comprising multi-storey structures.

Engineers who are capable of working with the Foremen on site to provide all the site setting out information accurately and are able to stay ahead of the workforce will be needed. Standard QA procedures will be in place and your duties will include maintaining the site diary, raising RFI’s, cubing up for concrete, supervising pours and generally ensuring that the sites proceed. These are roles that require a good level of communication and the ability to work with the Site Foremen to plan ahead.
