This is an opportunity to join a company founded over 35 years ago operating throughout London and the South of England, who have become a well established construction company with an excellent reputation in the industry built on expertise, quality, innovation and professionalism. The projects include ones to be built using post tensioning in an unbonded form, so Project Managers with this expertise would be particularly suitable.
The Role. With an Engineering Degree or tertiary level qualification in a Construction related discipline you will have at least 5 to 7 years relevant site experience. Taking charge of the RC frames and associated works you will be joining well established teams who can manage the day to day operations but need a Project Manager to co-ordinate the various elements, programming and negotiating. In some cases you will be working as a main contractor and in others as a sub contractor. You must be prepared to negotiate to secure favourable and profitable conclusions to your projects, be fully conversant with modern construction techniques and equipment, and demonstrate a good level of written and oral communication. You must have worked for a minimum of 4 years in the UK either for a RC frame contractor or for a groundworks contractor who also works with RC or else for a practically orientated main contractor.

The Projects. RC frames in single and multiple blocks from 6 to 21 floors in some cases as a linked structure to lower level structures. These will generally be in situ concrete with in some cases, post tensioning methods used. The projects run for 10 to 26 months and you will be involved primarily from the initial groundworks through the RC phases to the cladding, hard landscaping and handover, other staff members will organize the fit out phases.
