Transport Planning Managing Consultant - Development & Regeneration (Permanent post)
East Midlands - Nottingham
Job Summary:
A great opportunity for a Managing Consultant (Development & Regeneration) to be based in our clients Nottinghamshire office.
Transport Planning which covers all aspects of transport planning activities from policy research and strategic appraisals through to development assessment and traffic engineering. The Development and Regeneration business (one of four market facing business streams within Transport Planning), deals with transport assessments of new developments, urban renewal/regeneration projects, travel plans and all aspects of transport sustainability.
They are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual who is capable of working with a wide range of clients in a fast moving environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be part of the Development & Regeneration Team in the Nottingham office working on a wide range of projects for both the public and private sector. He or she would be expected to perform the following core duties:
- Assisting the development of a team of transport planners.
- Assist in the business development and secure new clients and projects
- Work with the Master-planning and Urban Design group
- Provide traffic and transport expertise to the public and private sectors.
- Prepare sustainability packages for development and regeneration projects
- Prepare and audit reports
- Writing and presenting evidence at Public Inquiries
- Financial and technical management of projects
- Liaise with other offices to satisfy/meet client requirements
- Organise and allocate staff resources.
Requirements:
- Suitable experience in transport planning field
- An in depth knowledge of the UK transport planning market
- Experience of working with/for both the private and public sectors
- A relevant degree and/or Chartered or Incorporated status
- Business and financial awareness
- A proven track record in winning new work
- A commitment to providing high quality solutions and advice to clients
