Job Description
Experience & Knowledge:
Essential:
Knowledge & understanding of Ionising Radiation Regulations 1999
Knowledge & understanding of Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2000 – IR(ME)R
Current knowledge of modern imaging techniques and applied practice
Desirable:
Able to administer contrast agents or other prescribed drugs
Undertaken a minimum of 500 Dexa over the last 12 months
Education / Qualifications:
Essential:
DCR(R), BSc or recognised equivalent qualification in diagnostic radiography.
Current HPC (Health Professions Council) registration.
Enhanced CRB
Desirable:
Post gradulate qualification in DEXA
Skills, Abilities & Attributes:
Essential:
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in English language, particularly with regard to medical terminology
Good organisational skills
Numerate
Basic knowledge of human anatomy & physiology
Desirable:
Knowledge & understanding of Health and Safety issues in the workplace
Knowledge & understanding of Control Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
Knowledge & understanding of Manual Handling
