Job Description

A London Local Authority is looking for a qualified and experienced planner who has a distinct interest in environmental issues particularly related to waste, refuse and contaminated land.
The appropriate candidate should have recent experience in handling applications particularly in cases where environmental and sustainability issues are prominent. The successful applicant will be responsible for and the lead officer to manage the processing of planning applications and informal enquiries for mineral working and waste disposal including the preparation of briefing notes for Members and reports for Committee and for undertaking planning control duties in accordance with Statutory, Directorate and Council policy and objectives.
