Job Description

This organisation is a multidisciplinary practice that succeeds through the individual and collaborative skills of its people. This post requires a candidate who must have:

• The ability to produce 3D Models using Microstation Triforma and extract plans, sections and details from this model which the applicant can then turn into 2D General Arrangement drawings suitable for construction.
• Must be able to work as part of a Team and with a minimum Engineers brief to produce Structural drawings of a high standard to CAD and Drawing Standards suitable for construction purposes.
• Appropriate technical qualification
• Satisfactorily completed or currently undertaking a recognised training program with a minimum of 10 years relevant work experience
• Good general computer and IT skills
• Good communication skills, experience in dealing with other employees and external clients
• Confident, proactive character, ability to take the lead in challenging situations
• Experience of working on a one to one basis and in team working situations.

Key Responsibilities will be:

•Ability to communicate technical subjects
• Undertake detailed design.
• Assist in the development of systems and procedures to ensure that the CAD System is used effectively
• Prepare technical schedules
• Ensuring that appropriate service/design decisions are met
• Ensure senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the client are achieved
• Co-ordinating his/her work with other members of the project team
• Ensuring all relevant staff are informed of client matters
