With a number of major development projects within its boundaries, this West London Local Authority increasingly feels the strain on its Planning resources and as such is in need of an experienced Policy and Environmental Planning (PEP) Manager to lead and manage the PEP Team as an effective and efficient operation, in line with the current statutory framework, ensuring that the Council’s objectives are met within the resources available. The successful candidate will possess a Degree or equivalent recognised by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) along with proven understanding of planning legislation and a wide range of planning policy issues at both strategic and local levels.

You will assist the Head of Strategy in the planning, implementation and review of priorities and objectives for the PEP Team, as contained in Planning and Transportation Group Service Plan. In addition the post will entail the preparation, monitoring and undertaking of reviews of the statutory development plan for the Borough (the Local Development Framework) in accordance with the approved Local Development Scheme, which meets Council priorities, objectives and statutory requirements. You will contribute as a manager and member of the Planning and Transportation Group Divisional Management Team to ensure the effective operation and delivery of the planning and transportation service as well as deputising for the Head of Strategy as and when necessary.
