Job Description
Impending requirements for a civil engineering contractor, with a strong financial background, established in the early 1970's, includes a Planner. With a sound order book for 2006 and beyond this is an established contractor, who has progressed from their roots of groundworks and structural refurbishment to specialist RC structures, moving on from the shell and core to turnkey projects in excess of £20m.
The company has a turnover exceeding £75m and already has work secured for the forthcoming year that will see a considerable growth in turnover and is expanding and developing further market sectors including rail and LUL. This company has a reputation for pushing the jobs forward and winning additional phases, in their goal to increase their turnover. Client satisfaction is paramount and this has led to a high level of repeat business.
The current projects range from £250,000 to £32m and the intention is to increase the staff levels to run existing and secured projects, whilst also taking a positive role in securing further work. Building and civils trained professionals will be equally required to fill the varying roles.
Able to demonstrate a good employment track record you must be self motivated and prepared to put in the additional effort and time that will win work, meet deadlines and provide commercial success. You must be able to take responsibility for your and your sub-ordinates achievements when reporting to the Contracts Director.

The candidates we seek should have qualifications to Diploma or Degree status in Civil, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or allied fields. You must have a proven track record in working on UK major projects with a verifiable work history and be permitted to legally live and work in the UK.
