My client is looking to recruit a registered staff nurse for a 34 bedded nursing home. The candidate will need at least two years experience as an RGN involving work with the elderly. The role involves the care and supervision of up to 18 patients at one time, and assisting the doctors during treatment. The most important thing to my client is that the candidate will have some training and safe handling experience, to be suitable for this very 'hands-on' role. The salary range is around the 15 pounds an hour, and the hours are 37.5 per week, which could stretch to 48 depending on overtime. The package comes with 5 weeks paid holiday and increased pay on Sundays and bank holidays. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be very energetic to fit in to this warm and friendly home, which has a very good staff reputation.
