Job Description

My client is looking to recruit a number of key people into their rapidly expanding Flood Studies and Design Group. Ideally you will be degree qualified in either civils or a scientifically-biased discipline. You will have between 2 - 10 years experience, be Chartered or close to acheiving Chartered status! You will have a previous work history that shows an understanding of Hydrology and computational modelling for use in flood risk analysis accompanied with some experience in managing the practical application of hydraulic and hydrological theory related to flood related projects. Some general knowledge in supervision and management of a general variety of water, river, and land use planning and environmental projects would be beneficial, as would any knowledge of PPG25 & TAN15 and any experience working within framework agreements.

So if you have this kind of experience what kind of work will you be getting involved with? Predominately you will be involved with flood risk, flood impact and engineering studies undertaken under framework agreements with the Environment Agency and other public sector bodies. There is also the scope to become involved with projects for private sector clients interested in planning and development control and other water engineering projects.
