Job Description
This position involves negotiating with objectors where necessary beforehand and possibly giving evidence at Public Inquiries.
There will also be an element of the usual day to day policy work such as giving policy comments to Development Control, liaising with other Council Departments on planning matters, liaising with the GLA on strategic planning issues etc.
Being one of the biggest counties in the UK with a population of 1.3 million this county itself has an extremely busy planning department.
Based in the heart of the county the offices are well located for access by train or bus with regular services to and from London . The council themselves are well known for their support and development programs and offer excellent training facilities within the council itself.
Outside of work the county has a lot to offer with shops, bars, restaurants, museums, galleries and green area.
