Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To be a key member of the mobilization team, including budget.

To provide clinical and operational leadership, ensuring that staff are appropriately managed and developed, and so they are efficient, effective, engaged and highly motivated. To promote effective and harmonious employee relations.

To directly line manage the Contract Manager, Referral Liaison Co-ordinator, Theatre Manager, Ward Sister, Medical Staff and PA.

To review the performance of the service against contract requirements, in conjunction with Corporate Office, Health Service bodies and managers. To review in the light of service improvements, new opportunities and NHS initiatives

To manage agreed budgets, to ensure income and expenditure is within the financial plans, and to ensure compliance with financial protocols.

To monitor performance in relation to clinical standards, take remedial action where necessary and ensure that reporting requirements are satisfied

To oversee the development and application of systems, control processes and risk management arrangements, that ensure compliance with internal and external governance and best practice requirements

To manage the investigations into untoward incidents and complaints

To manage service reviews and inspections.

To report into the NHS Joint Services Review and attend meetings as required.

To ensure robust communication channels are maintained.

To participate in strategic, operational and clinical stakeholder meetings, involving NHS Boards, GPs, social services and the voluntary sector as required.

Promote within the local community, and develop excellent relations with local stakeholders

To actively participate in the promotion.

To participate in mandatory training, personal development and the appraisal system as appropriate
