Job Description

Assistant level construction project manager’s position working for a major facilities management company. You will be managing small refurbishment and installation projects from £2,000 to £300k as part of an on going facilities/maintenance contract. The majority of the projects will be building fabric related and based solely on one large site in Brixton, London.

KEY TASKS
- Production of specifications for installation/refurbishment work.
- Issue to client and building contractors specifications for tendering
- Analysis tender documents from the contractors and carry out tender interviews.
- Audit contractor's site documentation. Perform inspections on the quality of the work carried out; produce inspection report and chair contract meetings with the client.
- To create quotations on locally generated works and new works for the client, obtain quotations from suppliers; subcontractors and local labour to formulate our quotation with proposed start dates were necessary to the client.
- When authorised to proceed, issue orders as required and expedite the works, check progress and quality. Hand over completed project to client, generate paperwork, test certificates, reports etc and forward to finance department for invoicing.

As this is an assistant level project managers post it would suit someone looking learn the full construction project managers role from a base of basic experience. You will be working with an experienced project manager who works part time (2 days a week).
