Job Description

My Client has recently undertaken a major recruitment drive to appoint a number of key staff to their well-established water industry team. Covering projects right across the spectrum, they have expertise across water and wastewater reticulation projects and across the treatment sector.

However, a key position is still outstanding for a driven individual with experience working on water and wastewater treatment projects. To be considered for this Civil Engineer job you will have a degree, or another relevant qualification, in Civil Engineering, with knowledge of hydraulic design and water/wastewater treatment processes. Due to the nature of the project work, familiarity with aspects of structural design (eg. retaining structures, storage tanks) would be beneficial, as would design capacity for pumping stations. You should have between 3 and 8 years industry experience and membership of a relevant professional body would be an advantage.

Working in a multi-disciplinary team, expert advice is on hand from other technical specialists to ensure that project work is delivered to a high standard. If you have previous exposure to reviewing/supervising/mentoring the work of more junior staff, then my Client will be eager to bring you in a more senior level. Remuneration/package will be adjusted to reflect this.

Due to the urgency of this appointment my Client is currently offering above-average salaries to ensure they are attracting the top echelon of the UK Engineering industry. Working with the organisation will provide you with a challenge, prestige and a fantastic opportunity. If you are looking to relocate to the UK on a permanent basis, my Client is willing to undertake telephone interviews with potential candidates and will apply for and cover the cost of a work permit if necessary. Various locations are available throughout the UK if the South East isn’t suitable for you.

A well-developed training scheme is in place, with all staff encouraged to work towards achieving relevant professional memberships or other qualifications that you may agree with your manager. Joining the company now, you will be able to carve yourself a career path, and grow with the organisation. Excellent opportunities exist for those who demonstrate enthusiasm and flair to fast-track their career in to a more senior position.
