Job Description

A Northwest London Borough requires an experienced policy planner to join their busy planning policy department.

Your role will involve the preparation, monitoring and review of the Local Development Framework, taking particular responsibility for all aspects of housing policy in relation to the LDF.

Implementing the policies and proposals of the development plan. Providing policy advice on planning applications, representing the Group at pre-application meetings and preparing policy advice and information for planning appeals, including preparing and giving evidence on policy matters.

Acting as lead officer of teams undertaking more complex projects. Supervising more junior staff in relation to these projects, including planning and delegating work and monitoring progress, in liaison with the Service Manager.

Ideally they are looking for a planner who has worked in a similar role in the UK, but would consider exceptional overseas candidates.
