Job Description

The Requirement is for someone with several years current / recent experience in CAD who has preferably worked on structural steelwork or alternatively on architectural steelwork. The majority of the work is 2D on Autocad.

The Company has been established for over 75 years, and remains a family run company with the staff retention that goes with this approach, with steel structures still functioning some 60 years on.

Development has meant that the work changed from maintenance to structural steel and process plant. Investment continued in more modern and additional plate rolling forming and welding equipment. The company developed a marine side to the business, fabricating large navigation buoys. At the same time work started in the construction industry so that the company continued to develop its process plant and marine side along with the structural steelwork and architectural metalwork for the construction industry and to broaden its client base with customers throughout the UK.

In later years, links developed with the MOD led to AQAP QA qualification and NATO contracts with the Navy Army and American Army. This experience of quality assurance procedures eased the way for the company into ISO 9001:2000 qualification in 1992. In the late 90's being surrounded by construction sites the company moved more into the construction industry until now when it provides the largest part of the turnover and has steadily grown into a most successful business with ever increasing turnover. It is now a successful and expanding company with a strong tradition of family, team effort and loyalty, which provides a work place where people like to stay and the customer benefits.
