Train Planner
Role and Responsibilities:
Direct and develop all operational and business development aspects of the Possession Planning, achieving the highest levels of performance, safety and customer satisfaction. The role facilitates the coordinated planning and delivery in all works in all possessions, and requires a high level of technical planning and engineering expertise.
Key Accountabilities:
Supporting access and resources planning to achieve short, medium and long term work plans, liaison with Program planners to ensure maximisation of Resources & Access.
Supporting the development of new planning opportunities within Resources and Access areas – Identify and implement new methods of working to save resource and costs
Supporting the planning resources and documentation and meeting lead times to ensure critical milestones are met. Ensure that no LU Access deadlines are missed and that all pre-programmed meetings go ahead as planned.
Supporting the compliance with HSE and Regulatory Authorities (ORR, HMRI, DTLR etc.) requirements
Supporting the booking of Access inclusive of Stations, Specified Areas, Resources, Trains via the SABRE system
Compliance with HSE and Regulatory Authorities (ORR, HMRI, DTLR etc.) requirements
Carry out 2 weekly liaison meetings with Transplant.
Ensure ARA Publications are accurate, arrange changes as required
Provide relevant information for the production of the Possession briefing documents.
Supporting the Manager with access to ensure requested, entered into sabre, clash check/resolve, approve, publish if necessary, sabre numbers distributed, cancellations & amendments are processed, for possessions excel spreadsheet & print screens available for EIC folder,
Transplant: assist with availability, ensure paperwork completed, process request - book in sabre, clash check/resolve, approve, proof publication, deal with cancellations & amendments as required
Support resource, ensure correct protection staff numbers required, paperwork is completed, booked/confirmed for also cable lineman & technical officer booked/confirmed according to timescales.
Support publications: ensure publication proofs are read & commented on via distribution to deadlines.

Provide relevant information for the production of the Possession briefing documents.
Aspects of this role will require night shifts to be carried out
Skills and Experience
Rail; Planning and Forecasting; Project Planning and Scheduling; Possession Planning; Master Planning
Additional Qualifications
A working knowledge of the Access Code and its application in the working environment.
Knowledge of Sabre/Procon.
Understanding of LUL Organisational and Engineering structure/departments and geographical knowledge of LUL Network.
Hold a current Station Entry Permit.
Experience of planning within LUL environment.
Utilisation of opportunities to increase work completed in line with business objectives.
Experience in the prioritisation of works based on Business Prioritisation Factors
