Job Description
Principal Accountabilities are to develop, maintain and report on information systems, including computerised Geographic Information Systems and data sets of relevance to the Council’s regional, structure and local planning activities, ensure accurate monitoring of key land uses and provide relevant analyses and information as required, monitor, analyse and respond to documents produced by central government, other organisations and other Council departments on appropriate Planning, research and information issues, prepare planning policy evidence for public inquiries if required, provide advice on the policy implications of proposals, prepare planning policy documents and statements as necessary, assist in carrying forward the local plans of the constituent councils as required and any duties or responsibilities appropriate to the grade and level of responsibility of the post.
