Job Description:

Building Surveyor required in Purley to join Construction Consultancy.

As a Building Surveyor you will be expected to possess considerable knowledge and skills attained during your previous work experience within the construction industry. Duties will comprise but not be limited to:

•Stock condition surveys
•Writing schedules of work and NBS specifications
•Measured surveys
•Level surveys
•Prepare and use detailed budgets and cost plans
•Prepare contract documentation
•Value variations to contract
•Prepare and agree final accounts
•Project Management
•Deal with contractual issues including extensions of time, loss and/or expense claims, terms and conditions, etc
•Prepare fee proposals, invoices, client management roles as appropriate
•Party wall surveys
•Life cycle costings
•Facilities management

Person Specification:
You will be expected to have attained a recognised degree in the construction profession, be a chartered or working to become a member of the RICS or CIOB (ideally you would be recently qualified or near completion), or have a minimum of five years' experience as a Building Surveyor and acquired knowledge or skills in the following areas:

•Good all-round knowledge of the construction industry
•Knowledge of IT and the ability to use a variety of computer software
•Good written, oral, interpersonal and negotiation skills

You will need to be a team player prepared to work hard to advance your career and have the ability to manage projects with the minimum of supervision.
