Company Overview:

Our client is a contemporary and innovative Urban Design Practice, based in Central Newcastle. Our client works nationwide, including working on the 2012 Olympics and also internationally with recent business wins in China and Japan.

Working within their elevated offices situated within a listed building in Newcastle with views of famous Newcastle landmarks, they enjoy working at the very front end with their clients. They work very closely with major Architectural Practices at the very early stages of sighting buildings, exploring the client brief and design collaboration with the Architects.

Recent major projects of note have included the award winning 55 degrees North development, the rebranding of Gateshead International Stadium and the £420m master plan co-ordination of North Staffs City General Hospital.
Working for our client is fulfilling and also demanding, as they are the leading Urban Design Practice in the North of England.

They have a cosmopolitan office with employees originating from Austria, Germany, China, Japan and Australia. All of their employees are talented designers with an Architectural approach to their work.

Job Description:

We are looking for a confident and articulate leader of people. You will be qualified as a Landscape Architect or Urban Designer and though you will have managerial responsibilities you will still be a hands-on designer. We are looking for someone to take the lead on large projects which could be anywhere in the world.

Recent business wins in China and Japan have begun to showcase the work of the Practice on a truly global scale. The successful applicant will have a real understanding of contemporary design and be able to successfully handle clients and design teams.
