Job Description
Role
A Geotechnical Engineer is required to join the ground technologies division of the London office.The successful individual will form part of a busy team in a vibrant office with plenty of scope to develop their career.
Key Competencies
Skills:
Able to log both soil and rock to BS 5930
Communicate effectively with clients and contactors
Compile factual and basic interpretative reports
Able to monitor on site installations
Mentor and train more junior staff
Able to work to budget and timescales
Qualifications:
Graduate engineers qualified to BSc (Hons) in Geology or relevant environmental discipline are required
Personal Qualities:
Out going, self motivated, ambitious team player with the ability to work on their own. Reliable responsible
Experience
4 - 6 years experience of Site Investigation and ideally be working towards Chartered status and experienced in the following areas:
Desk studies
logging soils and rocks to BS5930
SI design and management
Contaminated Land and Brownfield investigations
Railway investigations
Factual reporting,
Financial control of projects
Monitoring,
Sampling protocols
Use or knowledge of Holebase III
