This is an independent consultancy company with over 3000 employees, operating worldwide. Their consulting services focus on the broad field of the interaction between people and their environment as a whole. They are a UK leading multi-disciplinary consultancy looking to increase their team to cope with the increase in projects they are currently undertaking.

The role will require managing and producing surveys, reports, studies, design and supervision (appropriate to level of experience) of flood and coastal defence schemes. The work will be predominantly based in the Sussex office but may require some site work and some work at other offices. Any resident site appointment would be subject to discussion at the time of appointment.

You will need to have 3-5 years experience ideally in the UK and have a BEng in Civil Engineering or BSc (Hons) Geography / Oceanography or a related field. You will need to have a graduate / corporate membership of relevant professional body and have relevant design, team management and project management as well as site experience.
Experience of/competence in use of office computer software and modelling software is desirable as is excellent communication skills

Salary will be around £30k although this is negotiable depending on the experience of the candidate with good company benefits including pension, private health care and membership subscriptions as well as a company performance related bonus.
