Our client is a leading UK provider of managed medical services. They have been selected by the government to provide outsourced services to the NHS in the form of newly built static and mobile Diagnostics centres. The diagnostic services supplied will include CT; MRI; x-ray and DEXA; ultrasound; echo-cardiology (ECG); blood pressure measurement; audiology; spirometry; and neurophysiology.

This post will be situated in Crewe but your remit will cover the North West region contract. This comprises of Cheshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester. Around one quarter of a million patients are expected to be seen each year in the region.

My client is looking for a Lead Consultant radiologist to be the professional lead, and advise on professional issues for Radiology in the Diagnostics remit. You will also be required to ensure that radiology team delivers professional standards, without compromising the achievement of key performance indicators. Due to the seniority of this role you will also be required to take responsibility for the professional management of consultant radiologists.

Ideal candidates will have:

Extensive UK experience
Management experience
Past experience as a Head of Department or Lead Radiologist
Preferably be not working in an NHS environment currently.
