RETAIL PROPERTY / SHOPPING CENTRE MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT
Location: North London¸ with flexibility to work in the West End
Duration: 3 Months
Rate: £20 per hour
A multi discipline firm of surveyors based in London and Manchester acting primarily for landlords in the management of commercial properties across mainland Britain; they currently have over £2.5bn of properties under management¸ owned by a range of clients including asset management organisations¸ property companies¸ and private individuals.
This position entails working with the director and other team members in house and on site¸ who have responsibility for managing shopping centres.
Typically you will be involved with:
- Day to day property management issues
- Maintenance of in house logbooks and computer based property management and accounting system.
- Preparation of monthly client reports
- Continual liaison with clients and tenants
The role will require good organisational skills¸ effective communication both in house with other disciplines and external contacts including clients. An understanding of property management and its legal framework¸ as well as a high level of numerical accuracy and literacy¸ will be important. As the director is frequently out on site the individual will be expected to work on their own initiative in progressing work delegated to him or her¸ whilst understanding when they need to call for help or advice.
