Job Description
A Bedfordshire based council wishes to appoint a Building Works Manager for an initial 3 month contract.
The main purpose of the role will be to manage and develop the Building Works division. You will be expected to develop strategic plans, corporate policies, core values and resolve any operational issues.
You will be developing the division's business plan and will monitor performance against it. In addition you will be working closely with the asset management team and will produce monthly performance data to the Asset Manager. Another essential part of your role will be to identify new business opportunities.
The successful candidate will come from a senior level in a similar role. You will have experience of managing a team as in this role you will be leading a large team of office staff, managers, surveyors and building trade operatives.
