This London teaching hospital houses the biggest neurophysiologist department in the UK. It is also a regional centre so treats patients from a large catchments area.

They are currently looking for two neurophysiologists to join their 18 technicians and 7-consultant strong department. As this is a regional specialist centre these positions offer a chance to work within surgery and theatre, as well as performing specialist procedures.

The role of the departments is to provide a comprehensive range of clinical neurophysiologic investigations, including EEG, evoked potentials, intra-operative monitoring and EEG telemetry both routinely and as part of research programmes, as directed by the Senior Technician and to follow the instructions of the Clinical Director. The post is intended to give a broad range of experience in different aspects of clinical neurophysiology, with a wide variety of medical disorders including those, which may be neurological and /or psychiatric in nature.

The post holder is required to work as part of a highly specialised team engaged in the techniques of recording, measuring and monitoring neurophysiologic function in patients (neonates, infants and adults) with the aim of identifying disease of the nervous system.

Minimum Qualifications:
Has served a minimum of 2 years post qualification
Has completed a BSc in Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology) or is at least in the final year of this degree.
Performs Nerve Conduction studies as required as part of a Technician Lead service
Has been awarded a BTec certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) or equivalent Science Degree
Has been awarded the ECNE Part I certificate (where applicable)
RCCP registration
Eligibility for the EPTA membership
