Job Description

This role requires excellent people skills, a strong track record in managing client relations and business development skills to take responsibility for the overall growth of our client's business in the waste and minerals & mining sectors. You will not be burdened with the day-to-day operational responsibility for staff, but will act as their leader/figurehead in these sectors, across all service offerings. You will work with Product Group Directors, Business Unit Managers and members of the Sector Development team, guiding, influencing and partnering with them to penetrate potential growth in the sectors in line with their overall strategy.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of business development in the UK in the relevant sectors, wll have built up effective relationships with relevant clients through account management and will have a clear understanding of the range of services which our client promotes to the waste (local authority and waste management contractors) and minerals & mining sectors.

DEGREE: BSc Civil Engineering / Environmental Science. MBA Optional.
EXPERIENCE: It is essential that you have a clear understanding of the drivers and structure of the sectors for waste, a sound knowledge of PFI and the emergent technologies (MBT, thermal treatment etc) along with good access to the Waste Management Contracting companies. You must have well established relationships with key client players in the sector and a significant track record of successful business development.
