Job Description

An immediate opening in this council's Enforcement and Neighbourhood team, this position requires someone who can demonstrate an understanding of conservation issues.

With a portfolio heavily stocked with Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas, the planning department works hard to balance sustained development pressures with the need to preserve the environment and its historic buildings and areas. As a consequence of this, they offer an interesting and professionally challenging range of enforcement casework in a friendly, supportive environment. You will be responsible for undertaking the preparation of Conservation Area Character Appraisals and Design Guides and reviewing the designation of new Conservation Areas.

You are required to be in the office for a minimum of 3 days a week and would suit someone who wishes to work from home
