Job Description
This council requires a planner that can demonstrate a reasonable undemanding of UK planning policy backed up by working examples.
This role involves responding to objections to their revised deposit UDP, writing proofs of evidence for their forthcoming UDP Inquiry. This will involve negotiating with objectors where necessary beforehand and possibly giving evidence at the Public Inquiry.
There will also be an element of the usual day to day policy work such as giving policy comments to Development Control, liaising with other Council Departments on planning matters, liaising with the GLA on strategic planning issues etc.
Based in West Sussex, this council offers an excellent blend of suburban and countryside scenery. It has an unbelievable mix of individual shops contrasted with an award winning shopping mall.
The historic high street offers a lively theatre, bars and restaurants surrounded by open green spaces and beautiful woodland making the area suitable for everyone.
