Job Description

You will be expected to prepare reports and recommendations on development control matters and to deal with allied case work including site investigation, analysis, negotiations with applicants or their representatives to achieve the objectives of the Authority and including, from time to time, the presentation of reports to Planning Committee.
As well as liaising with other departments, authorities, statutory undertakers and public bodies regarding planning applications, planning matters and matters of mutual interest you will be expected to advise the public on planning matters.

A full driving licence is essential and a car allowance will be provided.

A graduate level of education with a qualification in Planning or a related field, which qualifies for membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute would also be desirable.
